An almost a 24-hour stay.
This was when we left Puerto Galera and went straight to Miles’ family’s home in another town in Mindoro. You can look anywhere and find nothing but GREEN.
Cos when you have this green and gold blood and your university mascot is a tamaraw and you’re in Mindoro and you know it is where tamaraws are found.. You think carabaos are tamaraws! Hahahaha!

Miles and I are a sucker for trips and adventures that’s why we tried to do it together for the first time. Mehehe. It’s our 4th anniversay, anyway, so why not?
We saw a trip deal to Puerto Galera online and we purchased it.
I’m not really allowed to go on trips with Miles and I alone that’s why this one fits the perfect example of a successful takas get-away.
We didn’t have a hard time going to Mindoro because it is Miles’ province and he had been there for a couple of times.
He can’t stop laughing at me when I admitted that it is my first time to ride a big boat because I only ride a small one when we visit our ancestral house in Pampanga.
We were surprised when the boat we’re riding at is full of foreigners you can count how many are Filipinos! We were seated beside a group of men who I think are in their mid 20’s with a group of old men infront of them (all are foreigners.)
There is this scenario that cracked me up and maybe one thing I will always remember when I’ll recall our trip in this place in the future.
Old man 1: So where are you guys from?
Young man 1: We’re from Canada!
Old man 1: Oh, we’re from Canada too! Ontario!
Young man 2: Really?! I am from (insert a place in Canada here where that guy is from)
The conversation continued until..
Old man 2: I have these favorite Canadian singers. (Insert that man’s favorite Canadian singers here)
Young man 2: Leonard Cohen, Paul Brandt..
Young man 1: (With a bit louder voice) HOW ABOUT JUSTIN BIEBER???

After an hour, we arrived at Sabang where we will be picked to go to Villa Fernandez.
The booking we had in the resort is for 2 days and 1 night only. We got disappointed when we found out that the resort we’re staying in is 10 kilometers away to White Beach. :(
The weather is not good as rain started to pour. It’s not heavy, though. We managed to have halo-halo. It’s yummy but I don’t know if its price of 50 pesos per serving is reasonable enough. I guess the food the resort is serving is just too pricey. We ordered my favorite pork sinigang!

The pool is at the top-most spot of the resort. I swear, going there is more tiring than jogging. x

We went to White Beach that night and had our dinner in one of the restaurants with gay performers entertaining us.
Next morning, we found ourselves on the same shore.
I’m glad there is someone who offered to take a photo of us. This is the only decent photo Miles and I have. Hahaha!
